FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

This page provides everything you need to prepare for your interview on the Habitual Growth Podcast: timeline, tech setup, how to prepare, conversation flow, and what happens after recording. It also answers many common questions from recent guests.

If you can’t find what you’re looking for here, be sure to ask by sending us an email them to info@haibtualgrowth.com. We want to make sure you’ve got all of the information you need so you feel welcomed, comfortable, and prepared for your interview.

  • A: We serve a variety of audiences, but our main focus at this time is on three specific groups:

    • High achievers (entrepreneurs, senior leaders, intrapreneurs) and self-motivated individuals on a journey to be the best person they can become;

    • People rebuilding from setbacks (addiction recovery, divorce, business losses);

    • Transitioning professionals (students into careers, grads into the workforce, professionals changing roles).

      Target Audience TL;DR:

    We serve three primary audiences:

    • High Achievers: entrepreneurs, senior leaders, intrapreneurs

    • Recovery & Rebuild: people rebuilding from setbacks (addiction, divorce, business failures)

    • Transitions: students into careers, grads into the professional world, or professionals changing roles and building the mindset to climb and improve

  • A: We record virtually on Riverside. You’ll get the topic and at least three starter questions in advance—designed to prepare you, not script you. We begin there and follow the organic flow to pull on threads worth exploring. We want authentic responses with specific examples of action and results; over-scripted answers lose the spark that helps the audience.

    Format & Flow TL;DR:

    • Platform: Riverside (virtual, recorded—not live)

    • Style: conversational, curiosity-driven; we start from 3 prepared prompts and follow organic threads.

    • Length: flexible; we prioritize depth and clarity over clock time.

    • Preparation: review the topic and 3 proposed questions; come ready with concrete examples—no memorized scripts.

  • A: Benefits vary based on the individual, their industry, and personal/brand needs. Common themes include:

    • New relationships via listeners or introductions (e.g., a recent guest landed a new role after relocating).

    • Business opportunities are formed through ties post-interview or even those that occur when multiple guests come on the show simultaneously.

    • We've seen guests leverage their expanded audience visibility to secure upcoming book launches, consulting, or speaking engagements. In fact, one board member asked to come on after a year of using the Habitual Growth process and seeing results within her global tech team.

    • They have gained increased confidence in their journey as they share it authentically. We frequently see guests on the podcast who are confident in their identities and stories, but they gain momentum by sharing those narratives in fresh ways that resonate with the audience.

    Benefits TL;DR:

    • Connections: guests often meet collaborators or land new opportunities after the show.

    • Visibility: an authentic platform to reach new audiences for books, consulting, and speaking.

    • Confidence & clarity: telling your story reinforces your choices and helps others act.

    • Contact info: best phone number, mailing address (optional)

    • Review our topic and starter questions (we’ll email these).

    • Jot down 2–3 transformational moments (challenge → action → outcome).

  • A: Guests who resonate best are those who engage in real dialogue (not one-word or high-level answers), bring questions of their own, and speak passionately with specific, practical examples from their journey. We focus on real authenticity and experience—not a made-up or embellished story. Our greatest power comes from sharing our own personal journeys so others can learn from them. Please come prepared to the interview but not rehearsed.

Here are some quick tips to use as your guide:

    • Be Specific: stories beat summaries; “what you did” > “what people should do”

    • Show the Turn: problem → action you took → measurable or observable outcome

    • Ask Us Back: bring your own 1–2 questions you want us to explore together

    • Think, Listener: what can a motivated listener do this week based on your story?

    Resonating With Listeners TL;DR:

    • Real stories, actionable takeaways. Let listeners see themselves and do something this week.

    • Dialogue is not monologue. Go beyond one-word or surface answers.

    • Come curious. Bring 1–2 questions you want us to explore.

    • Be specific. Practical examples beat generic advice.

  • A: We’re still small and growing—as we like to say, we’re a small yet mighty team. Our typical episode views are ~500–2,000 per channel, with these numbers varying significantly by guest/topic. We track organic viewership, comments, questions, follow-up engagement, and changes in subscribers before/after releases.

    Audience Size & Metrics TL;DR:

    • We are growing ~500 to 2,000 per channel per episode; this

    • Correlation to subscriptions is still developing at our current size.

    • Our focus is on maintaining a steady reach and fostering community engagement.

  • A: We publish the interviews in long form on both YouTube and Rumble and promote shorts and occasionally short-form videos across FB, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn. Additionally, we also include episodes in our weekly Tuesday newsletter and occasionally via related blog posts.

From each interview we generate a minimum of three 30–60-second teaser clips. We aim to tag the personal and business handles you provide us in everything we share across the various platforms.

    Publishing & Promotion TL;DR:

    • Platforms: YouTube, Rumble, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn

    • Newsletter: featured in our weekly email (Tuesdays)

    • Shorts/Clips: we produce at least 3 30–60s teasers per episode for social

    • Tagging: we’ll tag the personal/business handles you provide.

  • A: Life and business happen—we get it. If you need to reschedule, please notify us as early as possible at info@habitualgrowth.com and francis@habitualgrowth.com so we can rebook your interview quickly. Same-day cancellations are difficult, so please provide as much advanced warning as you’re able to provide.

    • Cancellations: please provide at least 24 hours’ notice so we can rebook your slot.

  • A: This is an important question. Similar to a pilot doing a pre-flight checklist, here’s your recommended checklist ahead of the call:

    • Make sure you are on a computer and not using your phone for the video. Some people have used phones, but they do not provide a sufficient recording quality.

    • We’ll need to mute all communication on our computers/phones during the call, as those disrupt the recording and flow of the conversation.

    • You can use the browser version of Riverside during our call, but if you prefer a more stable session, you can download Riverside directly to your computer ahead of time. You don’t need to set up your account, so don’t worry about that.

    • Verify your internet connection. Ensure that it has enough bandwidth and close all non-essential applications on your computer to maximize its processing power.

    Day of Interview Checklist TL;DR:

    • Join 10 minutes early using our Riverside link to test the mic/camera.

    • Use a computer (desktop/laptop), not a phone.

    • A quiet, well-lit space with light in front of you is ideal, as is an eye-level camera.

    • Browser: Chrome or Edge (desktop).

    • Internet: stable connection; close heavy apps; avoid VPNs if possible.

    • Audio: earbuds or headphones to avoid echo; if available, an external USB microphone.

  • A: Yes. Once the episode and clips are published, you’re encouraged to share the links and short clips we provide on your channels. Please credit/tag @HabitualGrowth (and the show) on all platforms except Instagram, which is @HabitualGrowth1, when you post. If you need brand-ready assets, we’ll supply them.
